Good pressure changes things
Our goal is not to cause discomfort. Our goal is to help leaders transform. But in our experience, it takes pressure and discomfort for people to change. That's why we'll ask a lot of our candidates and mentors. We ask that our mentors impart actionable lessons that they have tried and tested in the real world. To ground the teaching in praixs, we ask our candidates to carry out challenging tasks that require them to put learned concepts into action.
How the course is structured
While it would be great to enjoy a week away to develop leadership skills (paid for by your employer), we know this isn't realistic. To give you what you need without taking big bites out of your week, we've concentrated the TLF course into two parts. PART 1 is a 4 day intensive during which the 5 key modules will be covered. PART 2 is a one day follow up which enables you to share how your action plan has progressed. During the intervening three months, you will be encouraged to continue working alongside your mentor.

The Trinity Leadership Foundation course is focused around 5 modules
1. Vision, Calling and Commitment
Leadership is driven by the conviction that a different future is possible. A critical component of leadership is the art of vision - creating a compelling, resonant picture of what could be.
Additionally, driving change requires a deep conviction and a steadfast attitude to endure the challenges of the leadership journey. This module focuses on understanding the craft of creating and casting a vision, and practical teaching on becoming a leader who lasts.

2. Leading by Example
A transformative leader communicates their vision, calling and commitment not only with words - but with their entire lives. It is the lived example of leadership that truly resonates and catalyses change among a group of people.
This module focuses on the Biblical perspective of living leadership, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Our participants will reflect on their example of leadership, the rhythms and habits of their lives and the resonance between the Biblical perspective and their reality.

3. Character, Insight and Integrity
At the core of each leader is their character. Faced with an ever-increasing array of ethical decisions and challenges, the leader of today must reflect on their own character - and make the necessary decisions to lead with integrity.
Driven by a deeply Biblical perspective of transparency, authenticity and healing, this module explores the heart of each leader. Participants are directed in prayerfully examining their lives, seeking deep healing and committing to a new heart-calling of leadership.

4. Style and Approach
Just as each artist has their own unique style, so each leader has been created to lead with their own approach. Discovering this personal style, however, can be a difficult journey - fraught with confusion, dead-ends and painful mistakes.
This module explores leadership approaches, developing a diverse tool-box for our leaders to use. Exploring processes of encouragement, values, persuasion, consequences and dilemmas, our mentors draw on their rich experience to drive our participants further in their personal leadership development.

5. Coping skills, and staying on track
For every mountain-top leadership moment, there are many more struggles and hardships along the journey. Resistance to change, countless distractions, voices of dissent, external factors - all of these can combine to make the life of a leader a difficult race to keep running.
With decades of difficult seasons under their belts, our mentors use this module to focus on the importance of a living, constant relationship with God, forming a support network, and practical skills of dealing with disappointment and conflict.

At the end of each Module, and each day, attendees will be encouraged to record the day's learning points in a personal learning journal. This journal will become input for the attendees final commitment plan on the Friday morning
Accountability
Each attendee will be asked to commit to an accountability buddy (or mentor), and to commit to an action plan for change that involves this person.
Final Presentation
On the last day, each participant will present a final commitment plan to their course peers and the faculty.
